So finally after 3 years the management at the sports village have been persuaded by myself to buy 4 nets for pickleball. Prior to this they happily were using our equipment for other public bookings and these nets were getting wrecked. We have also always maintained the pickleball lines.

I arrange for our group to have many sessions and events every week booked in advance for you as members. It frustrated me today that for a session booked for our members in advance the sports village allowed another 'group' who want to play at the same time as ours to use all the nets, leaving PBC UK with a badminton net. Apparently they can't guarantee us the 4 pickleball nets for bookings I have made, despite agreeing them all a month in advance. So someone from the public can book one morning, step onto a court a minute ahead of one of us and take the court with the pickleball net.

This is totally outrageous knowing that PBC UK also give the sports village more money every month than any group who books there and they have been using our equipment for free for a few years.

It is clear the Sports Village needs to purchase another 4 nets to meet demand. Pleaae can you all make a point of requesting this from the manager so he is INUNDATED and will order them. If this doesnt happen we may have sessions using badminton nets.

It is also frustrating when I find members arranging a sub-group to play at exactly the same time as a group I have scheduled in advance on the calendar as a regular slot, especially when we have made this time better value. It doesnt make sense to be a member of PBC Uk but then not support its activities. Please SUPPORT THE GROUP or you will find sessions/ events disappearing, and costs of sessions increasing to cover the losses of pre-booked courts.
